About Me
Hello! I'm Rae the photographer behind Southern Sunshine Photography. My love for photography began when I was just 9 years old while traveling across North America with my family. We spent a lot of times exploring new places, and I was always drawn to capturing the memories we were making along the way. When I'm not behind the camera, you can find me competitively barrel racing, spending time with my dogs and friends, hiking, working out and enjoying the outdoors. I'm currently pursuing a degree in business with the goal of becoming a corporate attorney, but photography will always hold a special place in my heart because it allows me to connect with people and preserve life's most meaningful moments.
My Photography Style
Photography, to me, is about more than taking pictures-it's about capturing genuine moments and telling stories that last a lifetime. I love documenting the smiles, laughter, love and connections that make each person and relationship unique. My goal is to create timeless images that feel natural and authentic, preserving memories exactly as they happened. Every photograph is a moment frozen in time, a reminder of life, love, and living in the moment-allowing you to relieve those memories for years to come.
